Regulations for the World Junior Team Championship
Resumed Regulations
1.
The general regulations were approved by the 1997 General
Assembly and emended by the 1998 Executive Council, and superpose the resume
here presented .
2.
The teams shall consist of two regular players , male
or female . The playing members of the team shall not have reached the age of
20 by January 1st of the year in wich the tournament is held .
The registered team cannot be modified during the competition .
3.
Every team shall be headed by one person that should
act as a captain ( in matters related to play ) and a chief of delegation ( in
administrative matters ) . The basic duties and rights of the team captain are
defined in the general regulations by art. 8 .
4.
The competition will take place in the Othon Palace
Hotel of Rio de Janeiro between oktober 10 and 14, 2001 ,with the first round
at 7:30 p .m., the second, third, and
fourth at 3:00 p.m.and the last at 10:00 a.m.
5.
The tournament will be played as a swiss system
of 5 rounds . The sequence of pairings
will be elaborated using global match-points .
6.
The session of play will have two hours for 40 moves
and then one hour quick finish .
7.
The following tie breaking procedures for teams
with identic number of game points are applicable in sequence :
a) Match
points ; d) First table results
b) Progressive
score e)
Buchholz sistem
c) The
match result between the tied teams f) Blitz Match
8.
Mr. Ricardo Barata is the chairman of the organizing
Committee ; Mr IA Friedrich Alfred Salamon the Chief Arbiter and Mr. Francisco Figueiredo and Mr. Genιsio Arakaki Junior the Assistent
Arbiters .
9.
The Appeals Committee will be composed by Mr.
Mr

substitute Mr
.. and Mr. Darcy Lima ( Brasil ) .
10.
The money prizes offered by the organizer are
dedicated to the federations, not the teams . Federations participating with
more then one team will dispute with the team best placed at the end of the
competition .
11.
Neither request will be accepted against this and /
or the general regulations .
